Munich House

We were hired to decorate a beautiful historic house just outside of Munich. The clients wanted something that felt light and colourful, while maintaining a strong connection to the garden through the large double doors on the ground floor. What they definitely did not want, was a bland European interior. They’d lived many years in the UK and asked for a strong sense of Englishness, which I think we achieved. While at the same time I focused on using continental antiques and making furniture and rugs that would ensure that the rooms felt at home in Southern Germany.
